It's time to decorate your room. First thing's first: What will you use to cover your bed? A duvet, of course. But what kind of duvet fill will you choose?
Well, it has to be functional and comfortable, match both your needs and your lifestyle, as well as complement your style. Here are four types of duvet fills to consider for duvets your bedroom.
Wool
Wool duvets are not only some of the warmest duvets, but they're also hypoallergenic. This makes it a great choice for the winter months when the air is colder and retaining heat is of the utmost importance.
Feather or Down
Comfort, warmth and breathability are just three words that come to mind when we think of feather or down duvets. You can adjust the density of the duvet fill to fit your liking.
Silk
If you're looking for something strong, durable and luxurious, then look no further than silk duvets. Despite their heaviness, silk duvets are very breathable and, similar to wool duvets are hypoallergenic.
Synthetic
Synthetic duvets come in two main types: microfibre and hollow fibre. Microfibre feels like a feather duvet but lacks the same weight. Duvets with hollow fibres are thicker and last longer but, unlike the microfibre, are not hypoallergenic.
Each of these duvet types will require specific care instructions. Read the labels to ensure that you are caring for and maintaining your bedding appropriately. In the meantime, stay tuned for your next blog post where we discuss how to care for each of these duvets.
